Cookie policy
We keep this short. Here is everything the site stores on your device, and how to change your mind.
Your choice
The first time you visit, we ask whether you are happy for us to use analytics and marketing cookies. Nothing in those two groups is stored until you say yes. You can change your answer at any time.
What we store
| Name | Type | Where | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|---|---|
sac_consent | Essential | Local storage | Remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask again. | Until you clear it |
sac-ck-* | Essential | Local storage | Remembers the boxes you tick on a guide checklist, because you asked it to. | Until you clear it |
sac_gclid, sac_utm_cpid, sac_utm_keyword | Marketing | Session storage | If you arrived from an advert, keeps its reference so your quote request can be credited to it. | Until you close the tab |
Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gcl_*) | Analytics / Marketing | Cookies | Anonymous statistics on how the site is used, and which adverts work. Only set if you allow them. | Up to 2 years |
Essential storage
Some storage is needed for the site to do what you asked: remembering your cookie choice, and keeping the ticks on a checklist. The law allows this without consent, and none of it is shared with anyone.
The quote form
When you send a quote request, the details you enter go to My Car Import so we can price your job. How we look after them is set out in the My Car Import privacy policy.
